Looking for a feminist book blog that just loves talking contemporary romance, dystopian worlds and mental health? WOAH. What a coincidence because that’s just what this is!

In July 2016, I found Twitter was just too limiting to share my thoughts on the biggest reads on the young adult (YA) scene. I had more to say than 140 characters could allow.

And kids, that’s the story of how Breathe and Read was born (lol is How I Met Your Mother still relevant?).

It’s easy to assume that YA isn’t worthwhile reading. If it’s for teens, how challenging could it be? But YA is daring, thought-provoking. It can be seen to tackle gender equality, rape culture, mental illnesses and the other tough topics adult literature often runs from. It’s enlightening, exciting. It’s full of the wonders of being a teen – when life is still somewhat exciting and anything seems possible.

Anyway, if I’m not over here, I’m usually working on my YouTube channel or busy on Twitter.

If there’s anything else that you’re dying to know, feel free to get in touch.

Thanks for reading!
